MISSION

To train highly qualified personnel for sustainable management of biodiversity and conservational problems.

RATIONALE/OBJECTIVE

The Department is to train students in the fields of Entomology and Wildlife to be able to:
A)Provide solutions to insect pest and vector problems
B)Manage wildlife resources.

It also aims to research and provide relevant extension services to the community, to provide decision makers with relevant information to help formulate policies on insect pest and wildlife management, and to collaborate with other institutions through staff/student exchange programmes to share experiences.
